John “JJ” Spegele is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, US Marine Corps, and currently a Senior Advisor at EverBetter, a health and wellness technology company.

JJ is a U.S. Naval Academy graduate and began his 21-year career as a fixed-wing Naval Aviator. His assignments included duty stations across the US and abroad. He is a distinguished graduate of the Naval War College and the Naval Postgraduate School, and, prior to retirement, was a Joint Acquisition Program Manager at the Army’s Communications-Electronics Command.

After his military career, JJ held several senior global executive roles, including General Manager, VP of Information Technology, VP of Manufacturing Information Technology, and VP of Innovation and Strategy, at major public life sciences companies, including Eli Lilly, Quintiles, and LabCorp.

He is a doctoral candidate in Health Informatics at Indiana University, with research interests in applied artificial intelligence, data science, and traumatic brain injury among veterans. Throughout his career, he’s been a frequent speaker and executive board member for organizations focused on technology, innovation, and veteran support programs. In addition to serving on the Board, JJ is the FFTM22 South Carolina Division Operations Director.
