Welcome to the 2nd Annual Black Sea Bass Tournament! This highly anticipated event is set for the weekend of May 31 to June 2.
Prepare for an exhilarating weekend brimming with daily prizes for both adult and junior anglers. Adults stand a chance to win from a generous cash prize pool sponsored by Kingman Yacht Center that exceeds $6,100. But there’s more – in partnership with Macos Bait & Tackle and Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries, we are launching the “22” fishing campaign. This vital initiative pays tribute to the 22 veterans lost to suicide each day by tagging 22 Black Sea Bass for the event. Each tagged fish represents a $1,000 prize, potentially adding $22,000 to the overall winnings. Our aim is to raise awareness and support the prevention of veteran suicide, while at the same time offering a uniquely challenging and rewarding fishing experience.
We have fantastic news for families: children aged 12 and under can fish for free when accompanied by a registered adult. Moreover, we’re excited to host an extensive awards celebration at Railroad Bridge Park in Buzzards Bay. The festivities will include a significant cornhole tournament, live music, an array of food trucks, and much more. This family-friendly event is open to everyone and is conveniently located right across from our resource center.
The Captain’s Check-In and Kickoff Party will be held at three Quahog Republic locations on Thursday, May 30th, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Additionally, there will be a kickoff party at Sharky’s Cantina in Oak Bluffs from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Make sure not to miss the Awards Ceremony at Railroad Bridge Park in Buzzards Bay on Sunday, June 2nd, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Join us to celebrate the weekend’s top achievements and experience the joy of victory!
